  1. How do I book an appointment?

    Contact the department’s secretariat, stating the reason for your request. Depending on availability, they will offer you an appropriate consultation.

  2. Are consultations reimbursed?

    Emergencies is approved by the health insurance funds (LAMal) and by supplementary insurance (LCA). Some procedures may not be covered: check with your insurer.

  3. What are the opening hours?

    Reception is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm. For gynaecological emergencies, prompt access by appointment is arranged.

  4. What should I do in an emergency?

    For a gynaecological emergency, call the secretariat. In a life-threatening emergency, dial 144.

  5. Do you offer remote consultations?

    Some situations may suit a remote consultation. Contact the secretariat to check whether your request can be handled remotely.

  6. Where is Gynaecology Emergency located?

    The Gynaecology Emergency is at 1-2, rue Firmin Massot, in Geneva, close to public transport.
