Draft policy for the current version of the site. Before it goes live, the Gynaecology Emergency must confirm the providers, the countries of processing, the retention periods and the final contact details. The form remains disabled.
01 Controller and scope
The Gynaecology Emergency, through its department of gynaecology and obstetrics, is the controller of the personal data processing related to this site. Its address is 1-2, rue Firmin Massot, 1206 Geneva, Switzerland.
This policy covers the public site, its library of general information and contact requests. It does not describe the processing specific to medical care, which is subject to separate information.

02 Browsing the site and content
To display the pages and requested files, the server receives technical information, including the IP address, the requested resource and information about the browser. Technical logs may also record the date, time and result of requests to ensure the site operates and remains secure.
The search and information filters run in your browser: the terms entered are not sent to a search service. No medical file or personal examination result is published on this site.
03 Contact requests
In the current version, the form transmits no request. The details shown on the site must be confirmed before any use.
Once activated, the form will transmit your situation, your name, your email address, the subject and content of your request, the page language and, if you provide them, a referring doctor and a phone number.
The site does not store messages in its local storage. Do not include detailed medical data or health records. To exchange personal documents, ask Gynaecology Emergency for a suitable means of transmission.
04 Cookies and browser storage
The current code installs no cookie and contains no audience measurement, advertising or cross-site tracking tool. Fonts and images are served with the site, without loading from an external provider.
A temporary flag in the browser’s session storage avoids replaying the introduction during the same tab session. It contains no personal identifier and no form content, and is not sent to a third party.
05 Recipients and countries of processing
Once the contact service is activated, authorised persons within Gynaecology Emergency may access the requests. Hosting and email providers may be involved within the limits of their tasks.
The production providers and their countries of processing are not yet confirmed. This information, along with the safeguards applicable to transfers abroad, must be specified before activation.
06 Retention and security
The exact retention periods for logs, requests and their backups must be defined with the chosen providers. The proposed principle is to keep data for as long as necessary for its purpose, then delete or anonymise it, subject to legal obligations.
Before going live, Gynaecology Emergency must arrange limited access for authorised persons, protection of exchanges and deletion of data according to the chosen periods.
07 Your rights and requests
The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) allows you to request access to your data and, where the legal conditions are met, its rectification or erasure. Retention obligations may limit these rights.
Address your request to Gynaecology Emergency, by post to the address above or to the final contact details once published. Access requests are in principle handled within 30 days. You may also contact the FDPIC.
This policy will be adapted to the hosting, the contact service and the processing actually put in place. The version date shown at the top of the page identifies the latest update.
